Our project portfolio is an interesting blend of residential, commercial work, office space
modifications, restaurant fit-ups, and consulting for projects in
industrial settings.
Our service
area is North San Diego County in California. Projects vary widely in
size. Recent projects include a new $2.4 million residence, office space
improvement for the Clairol manufacturing facility, and several
high-end residential remodels.

Company
Our company is small, agile, efficient and responsive to our clients. We employ only companies and subcontractors who are known to have demonstrated consistent high quality workmanship. Being the owner, Rex Wilson, I am focused on the critical areas of project management, client communication, and contract administration. I pride myself in completing projects within projected timelines and within budget.

Approach to Building
Construction is highly complex; the business communication,
accounting and management systems I apply are very beneficial
to my clients.
Bid
A project must be bid properly to run smoothly. I carefully review all project documents and specifications, get clarification where needed and then work up unit calculations. All calculations are put into an estimating system, Home Tech Information Systems. This software database program helps create an estimate based on local area costs. Custom items are submitted for subcontractor quotation. The combined estimate gives me a unit cost along with a specification for every item.

Timetable
In addition to a thorough estimate, I provide a Gantt
Chart that describes the phases of work, schedules
disbursement requests, and identifies the project's critical
path. I find this to be an invaluable tool in communicating
expected completion dates with both clients and subcontractors.
Project
Management
Once the project is awarded, I apply for permits,
assign subcontracts, schedule pre-construction meetings,
and resolve any remaining design/execution discrepancies
and then we start work. The majority of the time I also
function as Project Supervisor for your job which means
I also oversee all day-to-day activities, and I will be
present at the job site every working day until completion.
Communication
A client's daily communication will be with the Project
Supervisor (typically myself) who will be on site daily.
I will be managing client issues, directing subcontractor
activity and scheduling materials deliveries.
Subcontractors
The subcontractors I employ have been selected first
on the quality of their work, then on their history
of post construction follow-up. They are excellent
and take tremendous pride in their work.
Clean
Job Sites
My job sites are neat, orderly and safe. To ensure this,
we bring in labor on a regular basis to help keep the
site in a professional condition.
