In
addition to restaurant fit-ups and
small office renovations, I have
managed a range of mid to large
sized projects for Clairol, Inc.,
a Division of Proctor and Gamble,
(formerly a division of Bristol-Myers
Squibb).
The
Clairol facility is a substantial complex of buildings comprised of Research and Development
labs, Administration, Global Marketing Offices and their U.S.
manufacturing facility.
In my management role for Clairol, I coordinated the activities
of architects, engineers, interior designers, general contractors
and trade subcontractors. Because construction within a working
environment causes disruption, I maintained regular communication
between employees, in-house staff, the Factory Mutual Insurance
carrier and various regulatory bodies, to anticipate and solve
problems.
Projects
I have coordinated on behalf of Clairol, Inc. include:
-
Renovations to the Fitness Center
- Creation
of new office space requiring structural improvements and
office furnishing systems
-
Reconfiguration of primary waste line systems
- Installation
of negative-pressure exhaust fan systems for R&D labs
-
Inventory and compliance verification of fire suppression
equipment
- Installation
of digital LCD projectors with LAN line interface in all
conference rooms
- Renovations
to vending room/break room
- Renovations
to lobby area
- Industrial
scouring of chemical tank farms
- Application
of industrial coatings to all building surfaces in the manufacturing
facility
- Installation
of high performance walkway barriers
-
Evaluation and remanufacturing of all signs throughout the
facility
